SNORELY← Guide

What is a Snore Score?

A Snore Score boils one night of snoring down to a single number. Low is good, high is not. It is not trying to compete with a clinic; it exists so you can compare two nights, or two weeks. Knowing how the number is built makes it much easier to draw the right conclusion from it.

What goes into the number

Two things sit underneath it: how much of the night contained detected snoring, and how loud that sound was. Brief, gentle snoring produces a low score; loud snoring covering half the night produces a high one. So the score is a summary of noise burden, not a measure of illness.

One night tells you nothing

A heavy dinner, a drink, a blocked nose or an exhausting day can push a single score up by itself. What means something is the average of three or four nights and the direction it moves over weeks. Before testing a change, collect a baseline, then apply the change and compare a stretch of equal length.

The timeline and clips say more than the score

The number tells you how much; the timeline tells you when. Does your snoring cluster in the last third of the night, or start minutes after you fall asleep? The character of the sound in the clips carries information too. If you are going to see a doctor, describing that pattern is far more useful than quoting one number.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as a good score?

There is no universal threshold. Use your own average as the baseline and look for improvement against it; comparing with someone else's number is misleading.

My score is low but my partner still complains — why?

Annoyance depends on character more than duration: short but very loud bursts score low and disturb a lot. Listen to the clips together in that case.

How long are recordings kept?

Snorely keeps clips from the most recent nights on the device and deletes older ones automatically. You can also delete a night yourself.

This page is for information only and is not medical advice. If your snoring is loud and constant, if anyone has seen you stop breathing, or if you are sleepy during the day, talk to a doctor.
