Snorely Free vs. Pro: What Changes?
Snorely Free includes recording, scores, short snore clips, sharing, tagging, and your three most recent recorded nights; Pro adds older saved reports, the trend chart, and tag comparisons. You can keep recording without subscribing. Storage limits still apply to both plans.
What is free in a snore recorder app?
In Snorely, listening back and viewing recent results do not require payment. An accessible nightly report includes the score, an overnight timeline, and available clips you can play or share. You can mark a clip as ‘Not snoring’ to exclude the associated sound from the score, and add or edit that night’s tags. No Pro trial is required. The free version has no ads.
The three-night limit is a rolling history window
Free access covers your three most recent saved real nights, rather than three calendar days or three recordings in total. If you record on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, those reports are accessible. Save another night, and the oldest moves outside the free window. Older saved nights appear behind a Pro prompt in History; the access restriction does not itself delete them. Sample nights are separate from this allowance.
Pro opens older reports, with separate storage limits
Pro opens the older reports still saved on your phone, including nights recorded before subscribing. It does not provide unlimited storage: the archive holds up to 400 nights, while audio is kept only for the most recent 14 recorded real nights. Older reports can therefore remain available after their audio is gone. Storage pressure can remove older nights or shorten timeline details sooner. A failed save can also leave an older report listed after its audio has been lost. Pro does not prevent these storage problems or restore missing audio. Keep a separate copy of an important clip while it is still available.
The trend chart compares scores across nights
The Pro trend chart in History plots scores for up to the 30 most recent recorded nights and needs at least two nights. The timeline inside an individual nightly report remains free within your accessible history. Free users can also see History’s summary figures for recorded nights, average score, and best score. Pro unlocks the detailed trend chart; it does not promise that future nights will be quieter.
Insights needs a usable mix of tagged nights
The main Snorely Pro features in Insights compare nights with and without a tag. Each comparison needs at least two nights with that tag and two without, all with saved tag information. Four nights carrying the same tag will not qualify. An empty tag selection can count as ‘without’; missing tag information cannot. Tagging is free, so you can build this history before subscribing. The Insights tab’s general ideas also remain free.
Read comparisons as patterns, and check for sample data
Insights subtracts the average score without a tag from the average with it. A negative difference means the tagged group had a lower average; it does not establish causation or prove a remedy works. If you load sample nights, their comparisons are illustrative. Insights does not label these as samples, although labels appear elsewhere in the app. Your first saved real night clears the samples.
What neither plan changes about recording
Both plans use the same sound detection and recording controls. Pro does not add continuous, full-night audio playback: Snorely saves selected short clips, up to six per night, when clip saving is enabled. Both plans require you to keep Snorely open while listening. A ‘Listening’ label or a low score alone cannot confirm that the microphone captured the whole night; interrupted capture can produce a misleadingly quiet result. Before paying, use the free features to check that you get usable recordings on your phone. Upgrading does not resolve recording interruptions.
Check the actual price and any trial before subscribing
Snorely Pro is an optional, auto-renewing subscription with weekly, monthly, and yearly options. Check the price, billing period, and any trial in the app and Google Play before confirming. These details come from Google Play; a trial is not guaranteed. If offered, check when paid billing begins and cancel before the trial ends if you do not want to continue. You can close the subscription screen and keep using Free.
Manage cancellation and restore access through Google Play
Google Play Help explains that uninstalling an app does not cancel its subscription. To stop renewal, open Google Play’s subscriptions, select Snorely, and follow the cancellation steps. For paid access, cancellation normally leaves the remaining paid period available. When Pro access ends, Snorely returns to the free history window and locks the trend and tag comparisons. If you already subscribe but see a lock, check the subscription under the Google account used to purchase it, then use Restore purchase. A ‘no active subscription’ message after a connection problem may mean the check failed; confirm in Google Play before purchasing again.
Choose based on the history you want to use
Free suits listening to recent clips and checking individual nights. Consider Pro for older reports, longer score trends, or tagged comparisons. Neither plan diagnoses sleep apnea or identifies why you snore. The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute lists breathing pauses, gasping, and daytime sleepiness among symptoms to discuss with a healthcare provider. If these concern you, speak with a clinician rather than waiting for more app data.

Frequently asked questions
Can I record more than three nights for free?
Yes. Three nights is the free report-access window, not a lifetime recording allowance. You can save further nights; the newest three real nights remain accessible while older saved reports require Pro. Storage limits apply to both plans.
Do I need Pro to listen to or share a snore clip?
No. Playback and sharing are free when the night is accessible and its audio is still available. An older night may require Pro to open, and subscribing cannot bring back audio that is no longer stored.
Why are Insights comparisons missing after I subscribe?
Pro unlocks comparisons but does not create the needed data. For a particular tag, save at least two nights with it and two without it. Make sure all four nights have saved tag information; simply recording four nights is not enough.
Does Pro give me more accurate snore detection?
No. Free and Pro use the same detection and nightly scoring. Pro adds history access and comparison views. It does not turn sound estimates into a diagnosis or guarantee that all snoring is captured.
Will upgrading unlock nights I recorded for free?
Yes, if those older reports are still saved on your phone. You do not have to subscribe before recording them. Deleted reports and audio removed under storage limits are not recovered by an upgrade.
Is using Snorely Free the same as starting a free trial?
No. Free recording and recent reports do not require a Pro trial. A trial, when offered and accepted, gives temporary Pro access under the subscription terms shown at purchase. Check its renewal details separately from the free features.
